Hey everyone. I just noticed today that I'm missing the end cap on my throttle side. Anyone know what the OEM part number is? I can't find it. 1997 Standard

CAP, GRIP END
53167-MM8-000

Any Honda OEM should have it, Parzilla says it's in stock

When I bought my bike, one of the caps was off, but the owner still had it and gave it to me and it was a real pain to get it back on just an FYI

I have a set of Kuryakin grips. I’ll give them to you. BTW: I live in Dobson Ranch right here in Mesa.

Mine fell off two years ago. The end of the grip where the cap attached was damaged too, so I ordered both the grip and cap. When they arrived I found that the grip came with its own cap attached, so I ended up with a spare cap.

As was stated, replacement of the grip is a PITA because you need to get some slack in the carb cables, and the only way I could see to do that was at the carb bank end. So I postponed replacing the grip/cap until I have the tank off for something else.

You can get the needed throttle cable slack by loosening the handlebars and carefully sliding them to the left. Protect the tank when loosening the bars.

Yippers!

To change out bars themselves, I zip tie a 1" dia. pipe to frt. forks and use it to hold the grip and cable assemblies. Definitely use a well secured movers blanket for tank protection.
