Here's my review of these headlight bulbs:
I installed the Auxito a couple years ago after seeing them mentioned here in the group. They worked okay foe a while, but didn't live as long as the halogen bulbs I had before. They use less current, so didn't drain the battery so fast if you leave the key on. The Auxito LEDs gave a fairly narrow horizontal band of light, weren't blinding if aimed correctly, but also were not terribly bright. High beams were better, and many times on dark roads at night, were necessary to use even with oncoming traffic. Compared to other LEDs I've seen they were not impressive. One good thing is that they have 4 LED elements - 2 high, 2 low and they fail one at a time, and are intermittant before they die entirely, so even when failing they'll still get you home. I bought two and have had to replace both. They also fit in the rubber cuff that seals out water and dust behind the headlight.
The new ones are these Philips bulb you should be able to see in the photo, assuming I posted it correctly. These put out way more light, and have much beller cooling arrangements. Seems like heat is what kills them. They got those much bigger heat sinks, and even have full time fans, visible if you look close. They lock into place on the back of the reflector just like they should, but the heat sink interferes with the rubber cuff, and they got that cord instead of the plug being directly on the back of the light. I found that if one just pulls out the center of the cuff, and make it look more like a funnel, it works pretty well. It gives the cooling fan a source of outside (hopefully cool) air, gives an exit for the cord, and protects the bulb and fan from water, although It's never been in rain yet. I just got them, so I've only driven with them once at night, and then in a well lit enviroment. I'll have more info after I drive some dark roads, but my first impression is that they're a big improvement on the Auxito.
Philips rates their life as 'up to 1500 hours' which would be something like 60k miles.
They were about $60 for two bulbs.
