Just for the record, I have posted the videos linked below on both Rumble and YouTube.  I'd prefer Rumble but I cannot get the videos to easily play in the same resolution they were recorded in which is 4K.  So, I have selected the YouTube Links for these posts.

Start of Trip to Beaufort April 15, 2026

Just a short video as we left our home and headed out on our ride to Beaufort.  Not really planned to do it this way which is why I kept the video.  Our town is a small South Carolina town.

Start of Our Return Home from Beaufort, SC April 17, 2026

It is not the same route we took to arrive at our hotel but this is what Beaufort, SC looks like away from the coast line.

As we were leaving the Beaufort, SC area, I sort of missed a turn.  The GPS noticed and re-directed us though a very small "housing" area. It was paved road at first but then turned into a non-paved roadway.  Not too bad really but.... It was different which is why I posted the video.

One of the things I enjoy about visiting Beaufort (besides Beaufort itself) is the roadways you a travel. These images bring back the memories of when I lived in Myrtle Beach in the sixties. This is traveling in the Yemassee, SC area.  This is the first of three videos. (Part 1)

More travel (Part 2) in rural SC. This is headed north towards Olar, SC from the Yemassee, SC area.

It was a very nice trip.  A bit warmer than I had originally planned but still, nice weather.  Beaufort is a nice place to visit.  If you stay on Bay Street (that is were our Best Western was), you can walk to stores and shops and restaurants and other places.

One time I'd like to visit the Paris Island Museum.  I don't know where dad did Boot Camp back during WWII when he joined the Marine Corps.  But I always thought it was probable Paris Island.  He was also an Aviator stationed, during WWII in Hawaii.
Note:  I'd been trying to use Rumble to post videos like this but I could not get RUMBLE to play them back at their recorded 4K resolution.  So..... I used YouTube.

Just some more pictures and a video

The view at Breakfast from our hotel.  They do have some outside seating that is not too bad.

And a unique Water Fountain for you and your "friend".

The view (video from my iPhone) across the street from our hotel.  It's not really far, just has some parking areas but the sidewalks a little ways down is right on the bay.

Excellent observation.  The first time I remember seeing a fountain like that but I suspect there are many more out there.

Oh, I forgot to post a "picture" of the route we took down there.  It's just what the satellite tracking system we use as an emergency backup if needed provides to viewers who have the link.

Thank you for the compliment.  It was fun also.

Where do you have your camera mounted, it seems all the shots come from the side or shoulder height.

carolinarider09

The camera is mounted on right side of the Goldwing on the windscreen.  It's mounted as low as possible.  So, it might be three or so feet off the ground (have not measured it).

The windscreen is not the stock windscreen for the Wing.

The pictures below show the mount and the location.  I would have taken a picture of the front of the bike fully showing the bike but, in that image, the camera is not easy to see.

The mount was "constructed" and sold by someone on the Goldwing Forum who went by the user name of Yoda.  The only issue with the mount is that it can allow the camera to rotate just due to force of the wind.

The image above shows the camera mounted to the Wing's windscreen.

The image above shows the mount without the camera mounted.  The mount has "controls" that allow left and right and up and down location movements.  The camera attaches via the vertical threaded rod.

Another view of the mount from the front of the bike.

View of the bottom of the camera showing the mount fully engaged with the camera body.

It's seems like a great setup and the camera position takes some nice shots.

Amazing how these cameras can be so stable with the video and keep the real sound quality and eliminate the wind noise.
