Last November I dumped in a bunch of Marine Stabil, then filled the tank with ethanol free hi-test. Always worked in the past winters up here, today was no different. First hit with the starter I got a few pops right away. Second try it fired but only rolled over a few times then died, probably empty bowls. Full choke all the the time and on the third try away she went. Couldn't use the throttle, just let it sit and roll over on its own for a couple minutes, then suddenly it took off. I could crack the throttle with gusto but immediately noticed very little exhaust from the right side and a noticeable miss. Rode it home, found at low speed in 1st or 2nd it really scoots if you give it a twist. Once home, I removed the radiator pods and started pulling plug wires...one at a time. Left side each plug wire pulled caused a major drop in rpm, right side had good spark but little, if any, effect on the rpm. The right side exhaust is cool enough to hold your hand on it, left side...no way. Piping hot. To me...kinda sounds like fuel delivery to the right side.

I had picked up a set of carbs from a friend in Florida while spending winter down there, so on the way back from Florida last month we stopped by Dave Morgan's casa and I dropped them off for his magic touch. Judging by what he found, it was a good investment on my part. I also bought one of his airbox mod kits which I intend to install at the same time I swap out the carbs. It sure felt good to get some wind in my face, even if for only three miles with the bike popping like an old man after a good meal.

So, if anyone has a different idea other than a right side fuel delivery issue...please speak up. Once the airbox and carb work is done and running right, I plan to address the electrical part of the reverse installation. Time to get down and dirty...again.  ;D

:) Morning John, glad it's warming up your way so you could get her out! She is nice to look at I must admit.  ;) I bet you've got it figured out and she'll be running on all 6 soon enough. I hope to see you and Nancy, right, in Eureka Springs :coolsmiley:

Yes Keith, we're planning on it but our "after rally plans" don't include the trike so probably won't bring it with us this time. See ya there!  :cooldude:
