Hey John
I was out riding with the Black Mountain Motorcycle Club yesterday and we ate at a place called El Charro Norte Mexican Steakhouse in Chino Valley.  It is off the beaten path out in the countryside. Lot's of room inside, but a lot of outside seating, they had a band playing on the patio. Not only were they hosting our club of 52 people, but they are hosting a big 4X4 rally. It is a neat place and the food is good. If you haven't been there, give it a try since it is in your neck of the woods.

I am familiar with the restaurant.  My granson's girlfriend works there, Shay or Shaylin.  My son was actualy part of the 4X4 group and was there.  My opinion of the food is hit or miss.  Sometimes it is great and other times, not so much.  Probably different cooks.  I had volunteered to help with the Wiskey Off-road Bicycle Race in town or I may have been there also.  Flies can be bad in the summer because of near by horse property.

When I was there we had a little wind blowing, so I didn't smell the cattle and the wind was to strong for the flies to take off. ;) The group and i had a hoot there and I learned a couple Johnny Cash songs. I'm sorry to hear the lack luster review for this place.

It has been a couple years and I am mapping out a long weekend trip.  I could use a few Prescott beers, Yarnell twistiest and Jerome and Cottonwood scenery.  I'll put E'll Charro on the itinerary.  Thanks!
