Well, I sold my trike last Tuesday. Now what? Of all the motorcycles I've had since my youth, the Valkyrie has to be on top of my list as my favorite.  Steph said, get another bike if you want to. She has gotten to the point that seeing old friends is what she likes, riding is secondary.  So, who knows what I might find.  :)   I keep eyeing bikes that are lighter in weight. The old knees and hips don't like to be tested anymore.  The trike was ok, just not quiet the same.

I've always found that opportunity almost always presents itself at the most unexpected or unusual times. If you still want to ride and realistically know what your limitations are keep your eyes and ears open but don't make yourself nuts searching, if it's meant to be then it's meant to be.

Jimmy, I often look at the latest. There's less to look at as Japanese companies no longer make a full range of bikes. If you prefer a driveshaft motorcycle, there are very few new ones.

If you pick something out, let us know what it is. I hope there is plenty of riding ahead for you.

The late model CB1100EX has a slightly better PTWR as a base GL1500C because of it being 575 lbs. wet. Basically, a new UJM. 2016 model offered dual exhaust but I haven't been able to find one yet. Chain, wire wheels and standard riding position, let the good times roll.  :cooldude:

Hey, Jimmy!
I hear ya, Buddy, and agree. You and Steph have put in many miles
And seeing you guys is always a highlight of our trips! We love
You guys and now discuss How to get around since 2-up riding long distance now is questionable for several reasons  :'(
Sorry that your hips and knees aren't quiet, that's part of our dilemma too. Convertibles, trikes, have been discussed but we know it just ain't the same, so for now we'll stick with the flaming geezer conversion van. Uhg  :crazy2:
See y'all before too long!  :cooldude:

If I had my choice of what kind of, "special transportation", I could have, it would be another small airplane or gyrocopter. More fun and freedom that you can imagine. When I had my plane, a 1948 Luscombe, it was more fun than about anything I've ever done. then I flew a gyrocopter and it was so cool I drooled over getting one. Now I'm ready for a small Biplane in my life, but I guess that may not happen at this point in life. We'll see what happens. Gig, I like the idea of a 1980's custom mini van too. This is not a mini but a shorty, but that would work too.

Okay, so here's what I had, what I flew, and what I want.  Of course, I'm a dreamer with the wants.

But here is what I'll probably wind up with

Wow. Customized short body vans of the '70's, I remember those.  :cooldude:

These were way before my time to drive but we had a few rolling around town, my brother's friend next door had a Ford and I remember watching him little by little put new wiring in for speakers and lights, then insulation and then the paneling.

Keep on truck in'!

Well. I never liked the idea of a trike. When my wife could no longer ride on the bike we got this. She loves it and honestly if I had to sell the Valkyrie to get this (I didn't have to) it would have been ok. It's that much fun.
