As do some of you, I have an account on Facebook.  I sort of use it to keep up with friends that I don't interface with like I did when we all worked at the some place (V. C. Summer Nuclear).

In 2003, I purchased my 2003 Valkyrie.  Used it for rides in the area (multi-state) and Key West and New Orleans.

In 2007, I purchased my 2007 ST1300.  That was purchased as my "ride anywhere bike".  After two years (and some rides north to Canada and around the bottom of the Great Lakes) I asked the gentlemen I had been riding with if they would like to take a trip out west.  So, on or about May 22 of 2009 Saturday for a 17 day trip to see the west.   The Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, the Tetons, Yosemite National Park, the Beartooth Highway, Bighorn, and Devils Tower, just name a few places.

There are more places indicated in the video linked below.

PS.  I had planned on beginning a thread that included my adventures on Two Wheels, with Videos and pictures.  So, I guess This will be a start.  But it will be out of order time wise.

So,   Here is a video of me (and my riding companions for the ten or more years) on our first major trip.  But first, the the data, 17 days (if you count the motel stops listed) and 6,350 miles.

Link to video on Rumble (you have to click in the "gear" and select maximum resolution to get the best video - 1440x1080, 2.7 mbps ).

Jim, my antique IPad will not open your vid, so I'll wait till I get back to my desktop.

I did notice it seems the real riding started around yellow point 7 and continues through yellow point 29.

Looks like a nice cruise around the countryside.

Yes you are correct.  And, that night's stop was in Winslow AZ.  And that is when I got to stand on the "Corner".  I did not know the spot was "documented" and that the Flat Bed Ford would be there, but it was.

Also, as things go sometimes, when we went to a place to eat dinner, we found out it was owned by a family from (or was from) Garden City, SC.  Small world.
