Nancy won a dulcimer from a friend during a music/song ID contest he put on for us in Florida. Now, she wants to hang it on a wall adjacent to a picture she painted some time ago. I call it clutter, she calls it art because it creates interest. I said I wasn't interested so that excuse didn't work on me. She still wants to hang it, so I go out into the garage and picked up an old Valkyrie clutch...you know where I'm going here, right? Dulcimer still not hung.  :2funny:

Be careful.  Spmetimes winning costs more than its worth.   :)

Heh, my house would give you heart palpitations There are very few unadorned sections of walls.

Just the room I'm sitting in now I can see multiple rifles, a large cloth map of Middle Earth, a Scottish basket hilt sword, multiple light sabers, shelves, USB hubs, a mural of Laphroaig distillery on the Scottish island of Islay, a art piece of a 1993 Toyota MR2, a signed guitar from Iron Maiden, IC wafers signed by Jack Kilby... and more...

Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...

I'm fully aware of the possible cost, Nancy is an artist and has numerous paintings hanging around the place. And they are beautiful even to my untrained eye. But, they don't really go with hanging a full size dulcimer in the midst of them. I'll wait until it's daytime and take some pics of them to post.

And in my house, including the garage, there is one wall adornment. A clock that's right 2 times a day.

If a shelf counts, I do have one over the washer/dryer to hold laundry supplies.

A possibly mythical torture/execution device, but also one of the biggest and best rock/heavy metal bands on Earth from the mid 1970's through today.

The guitar was not signed by the execution device.

A clutch isn't a bad choice considering all the other options you could have made, like an athletic support.  ;D
