...i have never seen a winter THIS cold...this wet...for this long. Every day since sometime back in NOVEMBER...i've lost track WHEN in November....it's either been in the 30s in the morning (i know, nothing for you Yanks...but COLD for us Rednecks)...raining....even SNOWING a few days!

bottom line, since sometime in November, there has not been ONE SINGLE DAY...where the weather has been "tolerable" to ride into work the 30 mile ride. NOT ONE DAY. PERIOD. Now, there have been a few rideable days on the weekends....and....most of those days i have ridden.

But the guys at work are convinced i've sold all my bikes. In a typical winter, rare is the week i don't ride one day into work. VERY rare is the period of two weeks where i haven't ridden one day. AND NEVER...until THIS year...did i go three weeks without riding into work.

i'm looking at approaching almost FOUR MONTHS of no riding into work. It's been so cold, i haven't had to cut grass yet. in a typical winter/spring (for us, spring is usually well upon us by first of March)...i would have already HAD to cut the grass once or twice by now.

Go figure  :uglystupid2:

I'm sooooo ready for REAL spring to hit!!!!!!!!!

I appologize to you Northern folks................I know.....you're just rolling your eyes over this  ;D  :D

It's you and me leaving Cheaha mountain on a cold Sunday morning, but no one could recognize you.   ;D

That was a good ride, wasn't it?

RedValk

i suspected that MIGHT be the pic. Yea....i've ridden in colder...but...it was "invigorating" for sure! Wouldn't want to ride REAL far in that kind of weather. I'll have to tell a funny story about when i rode a bike with a heated seat one day....like i thought the guys bike was overheating...but it was just a heated seat

Thanks for the apology. And yes, we are rolling our eyes.
Not only do we have to wait for the snow and ice to melt, but now we have to contend with flooded roads.

i just don't know how folks up north do it. I'd get cabin fever SOOOO fast. Down here, we whine if we get a couple of days in a row with highs in the 40s  :D

But then, unlike most...i like it HOT. when it's in the 90s....i'm in my element. When it's in the 30s...i hibernate........ ;D

well if I was only wearing a tank top I too would be cold Tim

Some folks always complaining  Last year it was WHEN IS IT GONNA RAIN?

Then WHY DO TREES HATE ME?  You really had us worried about that one.

At least the pond is probably full now and you will have green fields this spring for the animals to play and run around on.

Hang in there buddy it will be hotter than hades before you know it and you will be able to be complaining that the A/C isnt working

i hear ya'. but one thing you will NOT hear me complain about...is heat. i thrive in 90-100 degree weather.

Nope, we can't complain about a lack of rain over the last year. We went from 100 year drought...to one of the wettest (and coldest) winters on record....and lots of flooding.

ponds are overflowing....and...soon, it will be time to do the first fish fry of the year! We love putting on a big fish fry on the ranch. We fish all morning...clean fish all afternoon...then cook em' up and eat em' that evening! it don't get any fresher (unless perhaps if ya' ate them raw  :D:cooldude:
