I keep reading about your "limp" but didn't see any notes about the fight, where Stephanie hit you, etc.  What's the story?

Actually, while Stephanie was complicit, she didn't actually participate.
Someone knocked me out and assaulted me with knives.
Translation:
I had knee surgery.  I've been dealing with bad knees for many, many years, and finally decided to have 'em fixed.  I am currently walking on it, but not bending it much.  I can't trust it to hold up an 800 pound motorcycle, and I can't bend it enough to shift gears anyway.  Anywhere from 2-6 more weeks.
Oh, and then I get to have the other one done.

I see and understand.  My sister in law had her knees replaced a few years ago.  She walks a lot better now.

Seems appropriate that you should become the 6 million dollar man since you work at NASA.

How about a sub-500 pound motorcycle with forward controls?
I'd be happy to lend my Hyosung out. (and it would be happy to be ridden)  I'll thwap anyone that snickers at you...They shouldn't because at the drag strip it would be the valkyrie by just a nose (even less for the I/S).

I had both of my knees replaced back in 2006. Not at the same time but had to do both because of pain. I am glad I did cause they are working great these days. Hope your surgery and recovery goes well for you. Don't slack off on the rehab/exercise stuff. Very important to get full recovery.

Thanks for all the kind words.  I'm making good progress.  I can bend it more and more each day.  I got the staples out this morning, and it's quite a bit better after that.
Drew, thanks for the offer.  That's a possibility when I'm further along.  Right now I can't trust it to hold me up every time, much less the bike too.

Yeah, I know the rehab is important.  I saw how much it helped me, and I've seen people in the rehab place who let it go too long.  They're in trouble because of how far back they went.  It's motivation for me, though.
