I can't believe he doesn't have one already.  But it sounds like he won't be around much longer.

Considering thumbing his nose at the Hollywood establishment for the past 40 or 50 years, I'd be surprised if he shows up.

My wife and I went to Hollywood and we walked on the "stars" sidewalk and noticed some names we had no idea who they were so we asked the guide, who are these people?  Turns out that all you have to do to get a star is to donate so many thousands of dollars to the area chamber of commerce!!  (so my wife and I started begging, made enough to get our name in a star.....)

Kinda makes me glad I don't have very many assests .... and it all goes to my daughter anyway.

Amen to that.  I hear he is divorcing to keep his wife from getting control of his assets.  Wow!
Dennis Hopper has always been a fav of mine since Easy Rider.  I have a framed Easy Rider poster by James Michalopoulos in my living room even.

Just checked out the CNN video online of the ceremony - even ol' Jack Nick showed up for the event.  Dennis definitely looks pretty haggard - but he was able to get up to the microphone and give a short speech, even smile.

God bless, Dennis.
