New "super fuel" to Norway

We can now buy Shell's new fuel, Shell Fuel Save Leadfree 95, with a new developed additive wich increases fuel efficiency.
The new fuel is the most fuel efficient petrol Shell has developed. It reduces energy loss of the engine by lubricating.

Norway is an important priority for Shell and is the first country in the world where the new fuel is introduced.
The question is not what you look at...but what you see...

About NOK 9.5 per liter

1 USD = 5.98 NOK
1 Gallon = 3.78 Liters

So (And please check my math) working out the math, we come out to

9.5 NOK per liter X 3.78 liters per gallon  = 35.91 NOK per US Gallon
35.91 NOK divided by 5.98 NOK per USD = $6.00 per gallon...

Bad, but not quite as horrible as I was expecting, to be honest...

That is the figure I came up with also.  I too was a bit surprised that it was not higher.

Ouch!!  It is 2.89/gallon for regular unleaded here in Franklin, TN.

What caused the price to rise so quickly in Norway?

I was wrong, the price for diesel is 9.5 NOK
Gasoline is 13.00 per liter ($8.19 per Gallon)
