Saw this on an I/S for sale on the valk owner's forum.

What model of GW did this seat come from (I'm guessing an 1800?)?  Is it a stock GW seat?  Any customizations required to make it fit or is a straight bolt-on?

Been researching seats and didn't even consider a GW seat until I saw this.  Looks good and comfy and hopefully could find one for less than the price of some aftermarket ones (not knocking their price, I'm just cheap).

That is an interesting idea... I would also like to see how that would work....

Did some more research (a.k.a. Google).  It is definitely a GL1800 seat.

The seat alone (no passenger back rest or driver's backrest) can be found on e-bay for under $350 "no heat".  Apparently you can get them with built-in heat?  That would be cool if there was an easy way to hook it up to the Valk.

Passenger backrest can be found for $100.

Or you could probably find a GW owner on Craigslist who swapped out their stocker for an aftermarket for cheaper.

Perhaps a scientific experiment is in order...

ie. test ride a GL1800 home and try it??? :)

The seat dont fit, it`s too big, and its bolted on...
I nearly bought that bike a couple of months ago.
Ricoman inspected the bike for me and I changed my mind after I got his report.

The question is not what you look at...but what you see...

Looks to me like its wadded up on the tank....I can tell just by looking at the picture that the twins would not like that  :(

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Or they might appreciate it if it came to a sudden stop.  Given the choice of tank pressure or seat padding.... I vote for padding.    ;D

Also looks like the passenger seat is buckled up in the middle.   Might just be the angle of the camera.

Almost any seat can be adopted to other makes......    A nice young man in Ohio, put a Harley seat on his Std., along with the bags and the trunk from a Harley.   Looked good and from what I understand it rode good.....

He sold the bike and it is no where to be found.  I have looked for it, and I have chased 4 leads, all proved false.  Maybe a bunch of Harley owner bought it and trashed it at a club meeting.
