As I stated a couple of weeks ago, my club is organizing a charity ride.

I  have been working on the website (not very good at it) and I need some opinions.

We are two weeks out and my computer guy has a serious family issue going on.

Is the link, please let me know what you all think....

I will be riding my valk on the run so not it is valk related...

I hope you want constructive criticism  ???

The opening page is quite bland and wordy.  The font is all one size with no emphasis anywhere. IMHO you would be better off splitting the front page content. With Wordpress you can have a static front page and I would use that for 'About the ride' and also have a graphic of lots of bikes riding. I would have the registration form as a separate page and again a few more emphasis elements on the important things.

Maybe have a separate page with a Google Map of the proposed route. A list of vendors, a photo of the pin that you are giving away, all things to encourage people to participate. Maybe a photo gallery as people sign up of photos of their bikes?

You want to sell this to people to participate and pictures and large text help with this.

I hope this helps. If you need any specific Wordpress help let me know.

Hmm, lots of issues. Main one is that the waiver form is hard to find. I just happened to click on "read more" and was surprised to find it.
Not clear as to how to print it out.

Not sure what you are shooting for here. If you are intending to promote the ride thru the site or just a place to go to in order to get the required forms and you are promoting it elsewhere.

What I would be looking for if I was looking to go on your ride is a document file that I can download and print off. Or at least a "page" with just the waiver and simple instructions on how to print it off.

That, in a sense, is what you need to do. Look at the site as if it is you who have never been on one of your rides and are looking for the information needed.

If you are looking for an easy to use and free site, Webs.com is a great one.
Just did one for the Goldwing Chapter I just joined. Chapter CC in Cherokee, Iowa. Check it out.

If you like what you see, you can do this for your group too. You could set it up just for the charity ride.
Real user friendly. Don't even need to be a "computer guy"
