DISCLAIMER - I AM AN ELECTRICAL DUNCE.

OK

Rewired my bike trailer - hey it came with the KLR I bought.

I have connected the trailer light correctly to the new wiring loom. Really I have.

Turn signals on trailer work.  :cooldude:

4 way flashers on trailer work  :cooldude:

Running lights on trailer do not work  >:(

Yes I have the lights on my Tahoe turned on.

I had to reconnect 2 wires at the Tahoe loom. They had corroded apart. That made the left trailer turn signal work.

Any suggestions to get the running lights working???

You didnt say if the brake lights are working.  Brakes and running lights usually have dual filament bulbs and have wiring to brake and running lights.  The easiest thing is to first make sure you have the right bulbs, and that they are good......assuming there is wiring for both things.  Beyond that double check all the connections and the main connection between truck and trailer specifically.  Thats all I know to say.  Oh, make sure the lights all work on the truck....if a fuse is bad or a bulb(s) out then it affects everything.

My 2500 HD chevy pickup  has a fuse just for the trailer taillights under the hood, driver's side in a big fusebox. Had the same thing happen to me but I do not know if the Tahoe has that box. I bought a little trailer light tester that plugs into the wiring from the truck and helps with problems. Link to one like I have, bought mine local. It helps tell you if the problem is in the truck or trailer, cheap too.

Told you I was an electrical dunce. Didn't even check the brake lights. Thanks.

The problem was the join in the cable from the Tahoe to the Tahoe pigtail. All joins corroded.

I cut out the crappy sections. Rejoined, soldered, shrink wrapped, taped and then taped all the wires in a bundle. Hey presto let there be light.  :cooldude:
