Werner - where are you?

Werner and Wilfried (Fiffi) are expected in Atlanta tomorrow from Germany. They represent half of the Run for the Sun party. 

Thom (Chromedome) and I are hoping they got a flight out of Europe; what with the Icelandic cloud and all... Hopefully they are in Alabama now at Werner's cousins.

Anybody know if they made it over the pond?

I posted a request in the German VRCC site to see if anyone knows if they made it, or if they had problems because of the Vulcano.

Hey Duffy,

Just got a response back from my pals in Germany, and according to them Werner posted, that on the 20th he went to Fifi's and they were leaving in the morning, that their flight was still scheduled.
So presumably they are here and just a bit jet lagged.

Thanks Yuri. Yes the translation was entertaining.  I likened it to "Japanese English", close enough. 

It is 11:54 am here in Atlanta, I just called Chromedome at my house, neither of us have seen or heard from them yet...

Oh well, it doesn't become critical until we roll south tomorrow morning. We are assuming they will show up before then. No reason to panic, yet.

Who are they supposed to be staying with? Because they are definately not in Germany, not that they boarded the wrong plane and landed in china or something. If not with someone do we know what hotel? I can call and see whats what.

One more thing, I just checked my PM that Werner wrote me in the German Forum(early April), and the last thing Werner wrote is that they would be hooking up with you in Atlanta so I am presuming they are there. He stated arriving on the 21st and hooking up wih you enroute to Key West.....

two Germans, M I A (missing in action)  

I am not panicking yet, but...

The last I heard, Werner and Wilfried were going to Werner's cousin in Alabama when they came across the pond. Then they were suppose to pick up Wilfried's Harley (rental) in Atlanta this Friday morning. Their plan was to do some sight seeing today and hook up with me and Thom after work today. I had told him I had to work today (which I did until about 1 pm - got out earlier than expected) so I could not go sight seeing with them today but would welcome them here at my house after work, thinking late afternoon.  

So... they really aren't "late" yet. Let us hope they are sight seeing and will show up in the next couple hours. I just wish I had his cousins phone number in Alabama to check on them.
