I have a 1999 Valkyrie with Cobra 6-into-6 exhaust. Does any one know how to remove the baffles?
Do I have to rejet the carbs?
Please Advice....

Thank you,

if they have not been removed lately, the carbon will have them stuck in pretty good.  You might need to make a hooked tool that is sturdy to pull with.

and I only did that when I went to bike nights so they won't be out much.  :)

Once the baffles have been in for a long time they are caked in there with carbon.  It is SOOO much easier to remove them if you take the pipes off the bike and hang them vertically.  If you have the baffles with the handles across the opening its easier, if not you need a hook to reach in and "grab" onto the screw hole.  Once the screws are removed and the pipes are vertical, twist the baffles back and forth and get the carbon to fall out.  You really have to work it, but dont try to make too much progress removing them until you get a pile of carbon.  soon they will just fall out so be patient, as they arent tight in there by themselves only due to the carbon build up.

AS for the rejeting, you will not have to..... I put truck stacks on mine, there is 3 in. of the old muffler stickin out for the ts to mount onto, drove them on with a big hammer!!!! mine runs fine without rejeting, hope that helps>>>>>>>>>>>>Bogator<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
