Saddlebag guards from Goldwing

I'm installing a set of the new Mustang hard bags to replace my old leather bags. Some tip over protection would be useful or at least provide some peace of mind. Has anyone tried to fit the GL1500 Goldwing guards? These are the guards at the bottom front of the Goldwing bags. I haven't seen an older Goldwing since thinking of this. Thanks

I've got a 1500 Wing and an Interstate.  I don't think the bolts'll line up.
