Forgot i had one ? oh yeh....i am not out in the garage replacing MC tires all the time. (Goodyear Triple Tread) rides like glass   Rear spline stress LOL!!! bearings LOL!!! 4 back MC tires in 20.000 miles, i removed my back tire @ 900 miles new after i purchased the bike and use CV grease took all the factory Molly OFF, now that i look at the splines on some of these post mine still look like New 9 years later, Always 2 up.

I favor the high performance directional tire's myself. I've been runnin' a Cooper Zeon 2XS since InZane 2 I've been through 5 or 6 since then  ??? .The last tire I mounted was a Fuzion ZRi . I'd never run those Grandma's Buick tires some use on the Valkyrie thats just how I roll     The Cooper Zeon 2XS and the Fuzion ZRi are 205/55/16 and both are high performance directional tread .

I have run about 5 or 6 different brands.

The 1 I have now, I think it will be my future one also, when I get this one wore out.  Should I croak, and if the daughter gets MGM, I have told my son to convert it back to a MCT, then after she knows how to ride it, go back to the CT.    It is nice to have 2 sets of wheels.......   LOL.......    There is going to be a fight when they split up my toys...  Especially the Chevy Trike.......    Glad it will not be my headache......      I've tried to discuss it with the 2 of them and neither one wants to talk about it, so, they get to put up with Red's decision and she no change once it is a done deal...   I wanted to put it in the will......   That way no argument......

My question for the car tire guys would be; how often do you check your spline gear since you're getting so many miles between changing?  Do you ever worry about putting too much stress on the bearings?  Does a CT stress the drive train?

Toyo Proxes TPT Sport Touring tire, 205/65HR-16.  Installed it Halloween weekend last year and currently have about 4,000 miles, would be higher but Sandman was down for about 3 months.  I will be pulling the tire at 10K miles to servie the final drive and driveshaft.

My question for the car tire guys would be; how often do you check your spline gear since you're getting so many miles between changing?  Do you ever worry about putting too much stress on the bearings?  Does a CT stress the drive train?

I only get around 10,000 / 11,000  miles out of my tires both front and rear so it works out perfect for me to service when I change the tires. As far as bearings I've had to replace the left rear on all three of my Valkyries and I know several of my Valkyrire ridin' buds that had to replace the left bearing as well and they run motorcycle tires.

I do mine every spring regaurdless of miles. Usually 12-15k anyway.

Nope.

damifiknow. I think I stress it more.

+1 on the michelin hydroedge 205-65-16 40 psi and it directional too.

put a cobra on the front recently and wow is it loud. going back to an e3 when this one wears out.

Bridgestone Potenza g109 Grid 205/60/16  460 tread compound. uni-directional. Didn't want to go with the smaller diameter as some use and sure didn't want the hard compound with others. Fits me very well. Twisties, no problem. Runs quiter, smoother, longer. Probably got 20k miles on it. Checked the splines again the other day, look great. Was looking at the tag. Put it on in May 08. Still looks new.

BF Goodrich Traction T/A in 205/60-16 on the I/S and the same tire in 205/65-16 on the Tourer.

The new Standard will most likely receive the same, although I'm looking hard at a kuhmo tire.
