I was looking at putting an air horn on my IS. Has anyone installed one and where can i find it? I have looked several places for an aftermarket horn but have not found an air horn for it.

There are a few air horns out there...... Stebel is one brand, Rivco used to make one for bikes and Harbor Freight has one as well (BadBoy or Bigboy)....  I have one from HF installed in the right radiator pod.  You should install a relay for that if you put one on..... just saying.

Theres a few threads out there and some with some good pics too.  All of those air horns mentioned are basically the same.  I got one from Harbor Freight as well and with the help of Dave in Frisco and Valkpilot I got it installed on L shaped bracket attached to the kickstand bolt.  The horn comes with a relay and has instructions for it as well.  While I was at it I installed a fuse box since I was in the wiring already.

I have a new Stebel Chrome Dual Air Horn set that I will sell for a reasonable price. The kit includes the proper relay, and these horns are LOUD!

I just got a FIAMM dual trumpet, fairly cheap from an auto parts
store here called Princess Auto.
The horn came with the compressor and relay, but no useful
hardware to mount the rig. So I bent up a piece of aluminum,
attached the compressor, relay and both horns on that same
piece, then removed old oem horn, bolted my whole new rig
to the old horn mounting arm.
Gotta hide all my wires, sleeve with heatshrink in a few places.

The oem horn 'meep' was not heard by anyone. This new horn
is painful for me while riding at speed. Now I'm ready for the next
mo-fo who cuts me off.
A guy called me a Ba$tard, I said in my case it's an accident
of birth, in your case you're a self made man.

I have the Rivco Hidden Horns on my bike.  They are mounted under the swingarm.  They are loud enough to get most people's attention.  I will be installing a Stebel horn on Marcia's bike as soon as I get the horn.  I like the package a lot better.

Some of us with the Stebel air horn have mounted it in a pod.  USE A RELAY

I'm still trying to figure out how/where I could mount these on the IS, but this is the coolest / most annoying airhorn setup I've seen yet.

Kingbee, I am getting my airhorn tomorrow. what modifications do I need to do to get it mounted inside the pod?

Kingbee

All you need to do is make a little bracket as shown in my PIC above.  I used the original horn wires as the trigger wires for the relay.  USE A RELAY

I just put horns on my i/s, not air horrns. They are electric horns that I got from Autozone for 20 bucks. I put a high tone in one pod and a low tone in the other. They sound awesome and I'm hard to please.
