electrical problem...Need Help Please

For some reason, my turn signals, horn, and brake light quit working the other day. The fuse was burned out and I replaced it. Tried the turn signal and it burned out again. After replacing the fuse a few more times I realized I have right turn signal, horn, and brake, but if I hit my left turn signal my fuse blows. I'm no electrician, but can't put her in the shop right now. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

You've a short to ground. Since it happened so suddenly and is limited to that one item I would start looking for a break in the wiring from the switch on the handlebars and on down the line.  If you have recently done any work I would suspect that first off.  Get a handful of fuses or an indicator (I use a buzzer) and start testing by disconnecting in the circuit until you can localize the problem. Then a more intensive investigation should reveal the short. The wiring diagram is a big help in these matters.

You've probably got a short to ground inside one of the left-side turn signals. Open 'em up, pull both bulbs and try again. Fuse blow this time? If so: Examine the socket connections very carefully. Are either shorting to the coil spring which keeps tension on the bulb's base?

Took both left turn signal bulbs out, and fuse did not blow! Looks like water got in the front. The bulb and holder are a little rusty. Cleaned them off pretty good. Put the rear  back on and it flashes like it does when you have a burned out bulb. Put the front one on and it lights up, but when turn signal is hit it turns off and rear flashes like bulb is burned out. Going to replace front bulbs and clean it up a little more and see what happens. Thanks for all the info.
