I love that movie...and I don't know why.  It is such a weird movie, but whenever it is on, I find myself watching it and not able to turn it off.

Someone may have misspoke on Karl's behalf regarding Brokeback Mountain.  Karl, by his own words, while recognizing it was contrary to the Scriptures was pretty much okay with homosexual behavior.

Karl: "I don't reckon you have to go with women to be a good daddy to a boy. You been real square-dealin' with me. The Bible says two men ought not lay together. But I don't reckon the Good Lord would send anybody like you to Hades. "

I really enjoy that story.  It's among my favorite movies.

Karl: Yes, ma'am, I'm right sure of it. I hit him two good whacks in the head with it. That second one just plum near cut his head in two..."

John Boy and Billy Show came up with the Broke Back Mountain thing, not the movie.

They used to do a thing called story time with Karl Childers.

Ole Billy Bob Thornton came from very humble roots , but he is some kind of Genius(No O This Time)

He lived in a tar paper shack and came through all that to marry Angelina Jolie.

Whew now that is one hot momma.

He lost her soon after to Pitt who is losing her to someone else.

Bad Santa, Pushing Tin, and some other movies will be his claim to fame including Armageddon.

But Sling Blade is a high piont in my opinion.

Wonder if he rides a cycle?
