Good ride today!!

250 or so miles, had a little rain, some sun, gusty wind and a whole lot of clouds,
really enjoyed the day!! I remembered my camera when I was halfway to Newport.
Never did like it anyway so I didn't turn around. Coach rode with us most of the
day but had to break off and head home. 28,000 miles on his Darkside tire and a
lot more still in it. Found out that the local indy bike shop no longer installs car
tars for motersickles! Had one blow up while mounting it. Wonder what he's
gonna do if a motersickle tire blows up!?!?! Not looking forward at all to going
back to a round tire, but he's the only one I know that would install car tars.
Don't have all the stuff it takes to do it myself. Guess I'll wait another 15-20,000
miles and see!!!

Have a guy that'll do them here in Knoxville off of Chapman Hwy. If you're close it's Cycle One. Charged me $25 plus disposal unless you take the old one and tax. $33 and change total for mount and balance.

I know a couple places that will mount them in K-Town as well Bob.One is a tire shop and he'll do it cheap if you buy the tire from him. Bring the wheel we'll do lunch

Thanks, both. I've got til next year before I have to worry about it.
Wherever I go I'll probably ride the bike there and let them change it.
Do they lube the splines or is it tires only?
