replaceing choke cable on interstate

Hello everyone!...broke my upper choke cable at the switch houseing Sat. is there an easy way to switch it out?

yep..it isn't that bad really..the upper section joins up with the 2 lower sections behind the neck cover if i recall correctly. split the housing on the handle bars..remove the cable then follow it down to the joint and unhook it there..install new one in reverse order..

Until you get a new one you can operate the choke by pushing the slide on the left side forward with a screwdriver. I had to do this on mine last winter. cable is easy to change.

Hey guys thanks! I got her ordered today...can't wait to tear in there and get it done. do you think I need to put some lube in the houseing? if so what kind? oh yeah do any of the shops have any parts in house???????

If it the Honda OEM replacement no lube is necessary. The OE cables are nylon core.
