 >:( They sure are getting slow it seems to me, been 8 days now and I'm getting edgy!

8 days......you gotta be kidding me.  7-10 days is the average shipping time for ANYTHING.....if you are still waiting after two weeks without an explaination, thats getting closer to a valid complaint.......8 days.......closer to whining

agreed...they don't stock most OEM parts.  Figure 5 business days from the warehouse to HDL, then another 5 business days to you.

Most of my stuff comes within 2 weeks.  Yours should be there any day now...

That's why I order my stuff from a local Honda Dealer (20 minutes away).

Not only is it here the next day if ordered Tues through Thurs They also match HDL pricing and no shipping charges. I must be close to a Honda parts distribution center. Lucky me!

I gave up on HDL even when they were a VRCC sponsor.

For years they treated me great, now is a different story. I don't know what changed with them, other than slow service and poor communication. Now only if I can't get it anywhere else. :-\ On the receiving end, it seems as if they are overworked and under staffed? Just guessing ???
I believe after this latest experience I will be shopping around. I wanted to return the pump o-rings I bought on the first order when I purchased about $250 worth of goods, back tire ect. and they told my wife there would be a %25 restocking fee.

Is Service Honda in Indiana. I've never had to wait more than a week, and if ordered on a Monday I usually have it by weeks end.

valk2001

Took 12 days to get 3rd "elusive" o-ring from them.

Honda parts order software [LightSpeed] and their distribution centers will not allow "Drop-Shipments". There's nothing HDL or any other Honda parts distributor/retailer can do about that. It's just the way it is...

Although, maximum U.S. UPS Ground is 4 days, usually, for most of the country. I believe there are 3 maybe 4 Honda Parts Distribution warehouses across the county. So most dealers should receive order deliveries in under 2 days, 3 tops, for many 1 day. Honda has set it up this way to expedite parts to their licensed service departments which help these service dept to be more profitable with greater turn around and more importantly customer satifaction.

Chicago Metro is next day if ordered before 1 pm. If there's a hangup it's with the retailer not the distribution center. Unless of course the order isn't available from the nearest distributor. Maximum HDL turn-a-round shouldn't generally go beyond 8 days to the customer. IMHO Honda parts distribution centers do their job very well. What's up with some of the retailers though?

Slow is an understatement, I ordered a clutch master cyl rebuild kit 21 days ago, finally got an email this morning it had been shipped. Think they could handle it a little better, only spent $5000. with them in the last month.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

A few years ago I needed a water pump ASAP. I ordered one from HDL. Next day shipping. I had to pay extra for the shipping. But. I got it next day. Put it on and took the trip. Another time i bought a late model seat to replace the one on my 1998 Tourer. No problem. That was a couple of years ago. Maybe they have changed since then?
