Guessing game tonight. How many miles can granny get out of an Elite 3 rear tire.

I just pulled RHonda's rear tire off her bike and was a little surprised at the miles she got out of the tire. She doesn't ride real hard and she doesn't slide the rear much anymore.

I'll let this run until 10 or so then post the answer so get your guess in quick.

1999 Tourer soloed out and 106151 miles on it now, the tire does have cords showing.

Guess away, you get within 250 miles and the drink is on me.

You or may get 23.5, but I'm guessing you wouldn't run RHonda's tire to the same degree of wear.  On the other hand, RHonda may wear that tire less per mile than we heavy guys.

I'm guessing 26.4 and had a little left in it.

Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner. Mike I hope to meet you somewhere in Arkansas this summer and treat you to a drink. RHonda put 23,407 miles on the tire. I didn't ever do any burnouts on her tire until just last weekend. I wanted to start the summer with fresh rubber so I helped the tire along a little (I'm so good at planning like that). Had I not done that I think the tire would have made 25,000 easy.

Avon VenomR going on so look out for granny, She's bound to hit the curves hard with the new tire.

Raymond, maybe we will see you at Queen Willemena (sp) on the Robbers cave ride. I put E-3's back on my bike. They seem to do well for my style of riding. I just need to keep a better eye on my tire pressure this time.

Hmmm....I only got about 9,000 miles from my E3 and I don't do burnouts.  But then again, I think our roads are very rough around here in PA...and lots of hills and curves...and I am a bit heavier than her at 275lbs.
