There was an incident in E Indiana yesterday where two thieves broke into a oldtimers house and he grabbed his 12 guage.  He fired a warning shot and when they took off, he shot out the rear windows of their van.   
They then proceeded to lead the various police dept. (state and local) on a high speed chase.  They were both apprehended when driver pulled off the road after the stop sticks did their job.  One gave up immediately, but the driver was retrieved by the German Shepard police officer.
As they were lead away to the waiting police cars, you could tell they were not upstanding citizens, pretty much scum.

Good on the old man and his shotgun.  I doubt that a 911 call would have been as effective as his 12 guage.

I sure hope those intruders are made to pay the medical bills for that broken hand.......even if its just $10 a week or so.....cigarrette money, beer money!!!!!!!!!!  Jail is too good for them.

An unwanted intruder in my house IS A THREAT TO ME and not worth a broken hand unless thats the last resort.  20ga with #3 buckshot or my .357 is a whole lot eaiser, now thats justice!
