What kind of tank bag?

I am going to Wing Ding next month and I want to have a tank bag to access while on the bike. I am one up and don't need a lot of capacity. I think that the Tourmaster Cortech Super 10-Liter Magnetic Tank Bag might be the ticket. However I am wondering about scratching the tank with the magnetic type mount on a 4000 mile trip. Any opinions are appreciated strap vs. magnetic etc. or anything else that can be useful.

I've been using a tourmaster magnetic tank bag for 9 years and it works well for me.
it isn't waterproof but does come with a cover to slip over it if i get caught in the rain.
i love it and it works for me.

I have a Roadgear magnetic bag. No problems. They have different sizes and colors to choose from.

NO matter what tank bag you use just ensure you place something under the bag. Made a bad experience when we rode to Finland and I scratched my tank , they make these rubber type mats (like kitchen cuppard mats) that you can place under it and the magnets still hold. Wish I would have done that, in any case very careful when taken the bag off for the night.

Used a small Nelson-Rigg magnetic bag for many miles. Worked fine for me. I, too, was concerned about scratching the tank. About every-other gas-up I'd wipe the road grime from the tank (little squirt bottle of foo-foo juice and a soft rag) before replacing the bag to prevent grinding the grit & grime where the magnets attach. Lift the bag by the magnetic flaps so you don't drag it across the tank. A very handy accessory. I gave the bag to my kid who rides a sport bike. He uses it every time the bike leaves the garage. My bike is black. The tank is no worse for the wear.  Yrmv, sheets
