few weeks ago i had a strange noise appear on the left side after a backfire, 

i was on a trip memorial day weekend and made the assumption i had a valve rocker out of adjustment

i have since done the valves, changed exhaust gaskets (last weekend)
today i changed oil (less than 2000 miles) ,
inspected  intake o-rings,
checked air filter box(not sure why) 

decide to check spark plugs, and all three on the left side were LOOSE i was able to spin them by hand with just the plug socket

thats something i have never checked since i purchaced the bike in feb 09
