Interstate Speedometer Dash Light

Any ideas on the easiest way to replace a burned out 2001 Interstate speedometer dashlight (upper right bulb)?

take the speaker cover off and you should be able to reach up in there to get the bulb out.  if you can't get your hand in there, you will have to remove both speaker covers and remove the dash assembly...4 bolts and 2 screws and the cable connector.

I didn't unplug the connector.  Just pulled it a little forward and pulled the rubber plugs and replaced the lights.  I did all of them while I had it apart.  Headlights too!

Thanks for the info guys.  I feel sure I can get to it by removing the LH speaker cover.  By the way, is the bulb available from Advance, Autozone, etc or is it a Honda ONLY bulb (2001 Interstate speedometer bulb).  Thanks!

When mine went out this spring, I searched around at a few auto parts stores and couldn't find a match.  At least not one that I felt stayed in well enough to give me a warm fuzzy.  I went back with the stock bulbs.  Part number is 34908-MG9-951.  They shouldn't cost you more than $2.50 a bulb but the stealerships make up their own list prices.  Online order places like Honda Direct Line and Ron Ayers have minimum shipping requirements around $8-$9 so unless you are ordering other things, I would just go with the local stealership.
