What a great few days!

I've been to Unadilla to see motocross, and crossed over to Canada through a couple of places in New York...
The upstate part is pretty cool...

I'll have to go to the city one day... but I'll need some local to handle the driving  ;)

Speaking of crossing over,....we met up with the Dept. of Homeland Security, Border Patrol on the New York State Throughway heading back dow to Lake George.

Let me know when you're down towards the City and we'll see what we can see.

Hey Hubcaps, did you see Bob "HURICANE HANNAH" at Unadilla.

Gravity cavity.

Brad Lacky

Brock Glover

Roger Decoster

Hieki Mickola

Kent Howerton

Rick Johnson

Any of these things ring a bell.

Saw a Supercros Race in Hot Lanta and bummed a rear tire from Brock Glover and raced it

on my bike. 1985 YZ 250

Hey Hubcaps, did you see Bob "HURICANE HANNAH" at Unadilla.

I was at Unadilla the rainy year that Bob Hannah won the 125 class, Jeff Ward won the 250 class,
and Ricky Johnson out-classed everyone else in the whole world by a long shot in the 500 class.

1987...

Around 1973 or so me and some boys went to Road Atlanta and saw Hieki Mickola and Roger DeCoster
and all those guys... it was an innocent time then, we were just little kids, and we snuck into the pits
and walked around looking at all the bikes - we weren't supposed to be back there, so we didn't talk
to the riders, we just tried to look nonchalant (oh yeah, those guys belong here  ;) ) Back then the
Europeans were the superstars, and they were all there...

We went back the next year, but they kicked us out of the pits right away when we tried to sneak in.

Cool all my heroes were Dirt Bike Riders.

I guess those were the days.

The guys today do stuff those guys couldn't do (their bikes wouldn't do it, that's for sure)... but now
it strikes me as a circus spectacle, back then it was RACING...

Ah well... back to Noo York... now I have two people to see whenever I go there... G-Man and my
favorite cartoonist - Davef!
