Gas Gage?

I have a 1999 Standard.... It has No Gas Gage.
Does anyone know who sells a Gas Gage I can install?

The tank for the standards and Tourers has no flange to accept a sender.  Lots of guys get a tank from an Interstate and put it on and then use a Motosens or AC gauge with the stock sender from the I/S you also get the extra capacity.

There was a thread over last winter (guess???) that discussed an alternative method but never heard whether the fellow did the project or not.  You may find other info by using the "search" tab at the top of the page.

My '97 standard has a gas guage!  Its the trip (miles) counter and I dare say its as accurate or more accurate than any aftermarket fuel gauge.  I set it to zeros when I fill up and I know 75 miles is half a tank, 150 its about to go on reserve (I have a pingel.....stock goes on reserve at 120-130)  After a while you stop seeing miles and you see "how much gas you have"  Its been a fine way to keep track of my gas for the last 7 years

I also "guestimate the fuel" with the odometer, works just fine thanks.

I also have a three gallon auxiliary fuel tank on the luggage rack, it goes away between 110 and 120 miles then I know there is about 124 or a bit more before reserve and about 20 on reserve... far enough to have to make a pit stop.  179,300 miles and happy as a clam.  I'd buy a new one if Honda would just make one.

Go Old School......   put a brass fitting on the bottom of the tank and on the top of the tank (on the outside) and run a clear fuel line grade hose between the two.  You can then actually SEE your fuel level in the tank.....

I use the Chrisj method to great success...
