radio auxillery

I've read and know about wiring a Zumo into my 1999 Interstate. All the threads mention setting the radio to auxillery, like my Goldwing. I can't find anything in my manual about setting the radio to auxillery to play music from the Zumo through the system. Can anyone help??

I don't own a Zumo but as I recall, an SD card stores the music. When you select AUX on the Valk, the Zumo is online through your speakers/headset. Then tell the Zumo to play music and it'll be heard on the bike. I hope this answers your question if I understood it correctly.

 how do I select AUX???

the controller on the left handle bar that turns on the radio, farthest left push in button, turns on the radio. when you push it in to turn radio off it is in auxiliary then. you should see AUX on the display.

You can do what I do...just hit all the buttons until it shows AUX...

I can never remember what button when I want to play my ipod...

I purchased an MP3 player to take on a trip and play through the Aux. but it was a total failure.

The MP3 had to be at the highest volume to get enough volume thru the radio.

It last about six hours.

I wish I could find a 12 volt player that would hold enough music like a MP3 player.

Oh well, the radio is still working great and that a comfort anyway.

There are audio leveling applications on the web that will even out the volume on all your MP-3's. I have a 3 yr. old Sandisk 4 mb with over 1000 mp3's that will last 20 hr. when ran thru the aux on the bike. Set the mp3 volume on high and then use the bike volume control. I have to set it on 24-35 with no helmet. Using helmet and helmet speakers (Edsets)  it's around 15-20.
