Michigan VIN number Info.

Does anyone have an older Honda preferably about '72 or '73. What I need to know is how is the VIN number layout on the title.  Is it a seven number sequence or does the VIN sequence start with like CB500*******? I finally found some docs. with VIN of an old bike I am looking for but I am having trouble doing a title or VIN search.
