Did the 6 deg in my Tourer for a few years till the ECT mod came around. Had it for 3 yrs or so, no Pot. I like the power from it but miss the little extra mpg. I get 32 mpg. I was wonder if there has been any problems running the ECT mod so far? I have had none. Only thing I had is once a year or so the diode gets knocked around from my cables and will work intermittonly. Wrap it with tape and move it out of the way its fine. Wondering if I should go back to the 6? Thoughts? I got to go work on it now. Hit and miss yesterday.

I'm glad you brought this up.  I just completed the ETC mod a month ago, added the pot.  I'm also wondering if advancing the engine as much a 3 - 6 degrees under a load, or on say a plus 80 degree day can impact the engine.  What I have notice is my cooling fans come on longer..  My increase in gas mileage is only 3 miles per gallon?

I did the ECT mod with the pot and love it, If I'm going out for leisurely ride on a Sunday afternoon I can fill up with 87 and crank the Pot down, if I'm riding with the boys, drop in some premium and crank it up. I like to be able to adjust it on the go. If you get places we've been that don't have higher grades of fuel, just turn it down. No problem.
