Can any of you Michigan guys, or anyone else for that matter, tell me if there is reception at the host hotel for Verizon wireless phones?

I know there won't be much while cruising the back roads, but I'm hoping there will be at he  hotel for checking in at work.

If you have Verizon, just dial *228 then take option 2.  This will allow you to update your towers as you travel up here and at ground zero.  This way you should always have reception.  I know that Verizon has towers up there you just have to make sure your phone finds them.   Just alittle FYI. ;)

Timbr,
I had poor reception last year at St. Ignace, that was why I asked the question. Verizon is known for good reception along Interstates, but get off the beaten path and my experience is that it seems to suffer.

Devl,
Thanks for that tip, I never knew about that.... I am guessing that is the reason for me having poor reception last year.

Jan has had good signals almost all of our trip across some pretty empty country...she has Verizon.  MY server is AT&T and it sucks....I had no service at all for much of WY, SD, ND, and part of MN.
One bright spot is that we have a Verizon "air card" for our laptop and we can get our email any place where we get a cell phone signal.......it is amazing!
