In the generous spirit of the VRCC, ODBill sent me some Polk db401, marine cerified speakers for my Interstate.  They arrived today.  He would not let me pay him anything at all.  Not even the freight.

I hope some good Karma finds you Brother...

I'll install them tonight, along with the new Metzeler ME880 front tire, and be headed out for Inzane in the morning.  Be there Sat afternoon.  Better late than never right?

Install went SMOOTH.

The db401's are DROP in replacements for the OEM speakers in the rear.  No carving needed!

Do they sound any better than stock speakers?

I'm glad they worked out for you.  It's amazing that the postal system worked in such a timely manner.  Enjoy the tunes and ride safe. :)

I think so.  NO miles yet, but I have a 12 or 13 hour day ride ahead of me.  I'll let you know the next time I get on the Internet.

John, when your better half falls asleep on the back of the bike, you can roll the right hand and get there a few hours sooner.   :cooldude: :cooldude:

Lori does not complain about my speed.  She'll essentially put up with whatever I am comfortable with.  I told my riding partners a wile back, after we rode 135 thru to US 50 and into Bedford at a "spirited" pace, that she was the bravest one on our group, as she was the only passenger that day, and she hung in there like a pro.  I wasn't nuts, but even the guys riding alone said I was leading the group at a challenging pace.
