gas fumes

have a gas fume smell in building where i store my valk.anyone know of possible causes,as i see no leakage and have no running problems?thanks

Depending on strength, I'd not worry about it if you don't see anything.

Is the gas cap tight? and check the vent tube for an overflow if tank is over full.

and put another thin gasket underneath it and re-installed original.  Also, some folks have put tape over the keyhole to determine the source.

Check under tank with hand, make sure petcock is not leaking. Open gas cap wide prior to going into garage. Then close it up, go in. This subject re-appears every so often. Try search.  I was asking this same quest. back in 2002.

Mine has always been the gas cap; I buy a new one and end of problem. Some put another gasket in with success.

My gasket leaks a little.  I grease mine and it's good for a while... then it stinks again, and I grease it up again.
