I go back to the doctor this wednesday I still can't take in a full tank of air but the pain has cut me some much needed slack I'm not eating the pain killers like I was. Am I " fixed " ?  I'll found out when they x-ray me wednesday. 17 days ( cold turkey )  without a  cigarette the monkey on my back is screamin' for one but I refuse to give in.Being stuck in the house is drivin' me nuts but rest is my friend right now and it beats that hospital a thousandfold.

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

oss, R U talkin about a Voldyne 2500 plastic  gizmo?   Has a little round slider that they want ya to keep low and then a bigger round one that they measure the volume of air you are taking in?     Yep, been using one of those since my lung collapsed in 97 after heart surgery........... :tickedoff:

RJ no lung problems since 1997 ? They claim once it happens it very likely to do it again ...The odds keep going up after every collapse.

That was what I was told also, but knock on wood, it has not reoccurred with me............

So, I got my Guardian Angels working overtime I think or just plain assed stupid luck....

I definitely DO NOT want to go though it again......    With the heart surgery and the collapsed lung, I was ready to start pushing up Daisies and get it over with.........

Joe, if you have a Higher Power in your life, as him to share the load and help you quit. If you ask for help from a Higher Power, it seems to do wonders for many quit addics of booze, drugs and cigs.

You're doing great, keep up the good work. Your lungs and getting cleaner and healthier every day.
