Heading out later today , waiting for the rain to go pass. Hope to make it to petersburg or possibly Marlinton tonight. If not Marlinton or snowshoe on Monday.    My wife and I will be on my 97 Purple and white standard. Hope to run into some of you guys along the way.  Mike

The ride Highbinder and I do every June ( The Blue / Gray Ride 2009...The Whiskey Run 2010 ) will be in Marlinton, WV next year. I attended the VOAI Rally there last year...Awesome roads and beautiful country....Ride It Like You Stole It  :cooldude:  We are headed for Hot Springs, NC today.

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Well I'm back and Joe was right not a straight road to be had.  Man was I smiling but not to much because the wife was getting nervous.  She said it was like a roller coaster ride.  I only was able to stay and ride for 3 days because of the rain.  The ride from petersburg to Snowshoe to Marlinton to Lexington Va was crazy twisty with inclines and declines of 8% to booth.  Heading up to Snowshoe the clouds were so thick I had to slow down and look above and around my windshield to see where the hell the road was.  There was so little traffic heading up the mountain the deer were lying next to the road eating the grass and didn't even give me a 2nd look.  All in all we put on 1200 miles in 4 days not bad for carting the wife around with me.  I said to her that it would be a nice place to see the leaves in the fall and she said only by car.   Weel maybe next time i can go solo and twist the throttle a bit more.  Overall the Fat Lady preformed flawlessly.
