Hey everybody-

I don't want to put a car tire on my Valk, but I am interested in putting on a wider rear tire.  Does anyone know how wide a rear tire I can put on WITHOUT having to make any modifications?  Thanks.

I know you can get a 200/60 in there...like the bridgestone battleaxe...

From what I've heard and read a 200 is wide as it gets. I wish a 240 or 250 would fit, it looks so sweet but would require extensive mods to the wheel and swing arm. A couple guys did it years ago, I've seen pics but don't know if they're in the valk/motorcycle world anymore. Found a guy goes by "Rich6" in the archives that had a 250 tire back 07 and it looks amazing.

Yeah, what she said...

I run the Battlax 200/60/16 on the rear.  Slight rubbing from the nutcage, so I removed it.  I only got a tad over 9,000 miles out of the last one, but the tire was $150 delivered from JC Motors.

+1,I love that tire, grips so dam well and I don't think you could go any bigger for an m/c tire, best tire I've ever had on my bike.

NITRO

So there's no reason that the Avon Cobra in the same size wouldn't fit, right? It costs more than the Battle axe, but would be a nice tire, too.

When in doubt, ride.
