Could anyone advise me where I could get safe and convenient power source/wire to install a 'Power Outlet' in the front (Right inside) faring on my Interstate?

Maybe a 'hot' wire in the faring or at the front of the fuel tank somewhere?  (trying to avoid running wire all the way back to the fuse box).

Not sure what all is in that area that I may be able to 'tap' into.

Thanks for any suggestions and tips !!:cooldude:

I would STRONGLY suggest running a big wire to the battery, hooking it thru a relay, using a fuse in it, and use the relay, hooked to the aux power cord under the rh side cover, to power that outlet.

Yep, listen to "MP".

There have been a multitude of problems reported on this forum regarding exactly what you suggest to do!

The wiring is not so abundantly large nor the connectors so substantial as to allow what you want to do.

You will do harm to you electrical system if you persist.

This is the result of being too firkin lazy to run a big wire, relay and etc.

Then, ya got to go buy one of these and replace it:

So take your pick, it is your decision.   :uglystupid2:
