The beads for the tires

I ran across 3 retired  wingers in Whithall Wi. today that ran the car tire and were proud to anounce it ha ha. So we started talkin tires. I'll admit I dont know anything about the beads. These guys swore they been using the beads for quite awhile now and said how one of them put the beads in on a cupped tire and the beads evened the tire out. these guys were ready to swear on a stack of bibles about it. I questioned them about wear on the inside of the tire and they said it wears off a trace of rubber but its really just a hair.I dont figure I need any at this point as I'm content with my tires & being so I havent read but one post here on the beads but thought I'd add food for thought.

The Dyna beads create minimal wear on the inside of the tire. Once up to speed the dyna beads are mostly held in place by centrifugal force.  When they do move it is mostly a rolling from point to point which creates little friction to cause wear.  On my last rear tire I ran it for about 8,000 miles with dyna beads and the manufacturing ridges on the inside of the tire were not noticeably worn.

Bottom line is they work.  They are in my 7th and 8th tires now.  The wear on the inside of the tire is next to nothing, they are reusable, and I got 20,000 miles out of my Avon Venom R front and was not into the wear bars when it was replaced.  The Avon Cobra rear went 15,000, but was flat in the middle and cupped on the sides.
