you know, get some consensus

we stand deeply divided on the president and his policies but there might be something we can all agree on.

golf.

the has been some derisive comments coming from the right on the amount of time obama spends on the links. bush gave up golf while he was president because of criticism from the left.
can we all agree that the current president and all future commanders in chief can hit the links to blow off some steam? even if he/she wants to go every day? nixon went rain or shine every day ( he was also the president most likely to be hit by lightning because of sheer exposure )

I heard/read somewhere the work week inside the beltway is about 80 hours long, there needs to be some "me" time in there. so if whacking a little white ball around the links is what puts meat on his taco let him. personally I'd be going to the secret service training compound and put some holes in the "x" ring, but hey I don't golf, to each thier own.

It's a temp job...4 years...you can't focus on the job at hand, I can not play golf everyday...Let him try to sneak out on a Sunday like the rest of us working slobs...or hold off and in a couple of years he can play everyday...

frankly I'd like to see congress take every other year off. whats so pressing they have to work all the time.  Texas legislature meets every other year, think we could convince congress to do the same?
