New to the Valk after an 8 year void of not having one and riding a BMW.
What tire pressure are ya'll running (I have new E3's on the ground) to get the best ride and the best distance?  Shock settings are at the std. 2.  Seems to have a eyeball jarring ride at the present.
I had forgotten the heft of the bike but love the power.
BTW, bike had sat at the dealer with 100 ft rides each day out to the show area.  Ran a little rough and a bottle Tectron cleared it right up plus just riding it.

Run the pressures at 42F-45R. When you can order them, get some Progressive 440 HD rear shocks. 12 1/2" is the standard length.

i think you will find is that the standard length of a stock shock is 13 inches.  the air pressure for the e-3 is:  rear=42  front=40.

I had my stock shocks off the other day and they measured 12 3/4" center to center .... they were set at number 3 setting.

John is correct :cooldude:

The usefulness of the stock shocks don't last long and that may be whats giving you the "eyeball jarring ride" you are experiencing. :D  Progressive shocks are kind of pricey, but worth every penny.
As far as your tires, they are a great handling tire...wet or dry.  And many of us are getting close to or more than 20,000 miles out of the E3's.  That all depends on how aggressive you ride.

I'm not all that precise with air pressure, but I try to keep them about 45-ish rear and 40-ish front.  So far, they seem to be wearing well and milage looks good.
I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to
