Sharon and I ran up to Queen Wilhelmena State park through Hot Springs. We camped Tuesday night, then ran the Talimena scenic drive a couple of times Wednesday before heading home.

That looks like a great ride! Rog and I decided to ride through Arkansas a couple of years ago. We camped at some state park near Hot Springs. A racoon ate our dinner while we were chatting with the neighbor. I shipped the camping gear home the next day.

Ha! Been there. I've camped all around Hot Springs on lakes Quachita and DeGray. I like that area. I've also spent a lot of time around Broken Bow Oklahoma. One night when we were staying on Broken Bow lake, I was leaving the bathrooms and walked by an outside trash barrel. Just as I walked by, the barrel seemed to explode with paper and trash going everywhere. As I calmed down, I noticed a coon hopping across the road with a happy meal in it's mouth. It was carrying the sack by handles with it's mouth. That is just about the funniest thing I've ever seen. I still laugh thinking about it.
The danger this trip wasn't coons, it wad bears. There were signs everywhere warning not to leave food out. The talimena drive has a couple of signs warning of bears. Fortunately, we didn't see any this trip.
