Are these letters " H O N D A " on with double sided tape ?  If not and removed will it leave holes in the chrome trim ?

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

They are just stuck on there Joe... Get a knife or screwdriver and just pop them off... then clean it up with some finger nail polish remover.... easy as pie! Ride Safely!

Better to take fishing line and work under the letters to remove, less chance of scratching the chrome.

I agree,I used dental floss.

I took the tank badges off and filled the mounting voids with bondo before I painted. I even filled in the yamaha etched into the engine sides.  I had assembled that bike from spare parts and figured it was mine. When people asked what it was, I told them it was mine.
I can understand wanting to take Honda off of your bike.

I just put the edge of a knife blade under the corner of each letter and pulled it off and then used a little heat and finger nail polish remover to clean off the adhesive.

People do tend to make things more complicated than they really need to be.

Just be careful, as the "chrome" your working on scratches very easy, and after the letters come off, you will see all the scratches you made, trust me I know...

Use a heat gun to heat the letters up (not too much tho), a credit card and then clean up with some Goo Off or WD40, finish with a cold beer or this time of year maybe a quick shot of Jack  :cooldude:

It left a ghost (etching the flashchrome) of the outline of the letters, chrome polish hides it till it gets dirty.
I used fishing line to remove the leters then hit it with Glue-B-Gone.
