Can someone expalin "executive order"

as in presidential. I got an email with a copy of the "executive order" confiscating all the gold. How the he__ did they let that happen? No woder we are were we are today. Get the people to look to the gov't for help the wham-o, take their wealth from them, next will be our guns. And there is nothing you can do about it because we are too divided over trivial bullsh__.

I searched a little on the internet and Snopes and I couldn't find anything recent that indicated this was going to happen.  The only thing I did find on it was in 1933 when President Roosevelt imposed his executive order to bring in gold.

Yup, Roosevelt did it in '33. Considering the arrogance of this prez...he might try the same thing.
