Where is a good place near Carrollton to get a battery?

I think my battery is dead.  Anybody know any good place to buy a new one.  Any suggestions on a brand to buy?

I prefer the OEM Yuasa YXT14-BS, but Walmart and Autozone both carry motorcycle batteries.

I had a buddy in Rockwall that swore by the Walmart battery and the cost savings, but my Valk has only had two batteries in its life - the factory one and one replacement, and I know that he went through more......

Physical size and Cold cranking amps (CCA) are what you need to worry about.

The Yuasa has 200 CCA and delivers 12AMP Hour @ 10Hr rate.

Also, make sure the replacement doesn't have a drain. It will be a visible tube the runs from the top down the side.

Like Godfire, I also perfer the Yuasa. The 2k Tourer I picked up at the beginning of the year has a Sears battery in it. When my alternator went out and I thought it was the battery I picked up the yamaha version of the YXT and installed it. At the time that happened, I was  panicking and a little confused, I could have gone just about anywhere (Wal-mart, Autozone, O'Riellys) and got a battery. As long as it is a sealled battery and has the required cca's, I think it fine.

Another vote for the Yuasa.   Mine went 9 years before I decided to replace it.  As I had used the Walmart batteries on my '81 goldwing and got only a year or so on each, I don't recommend them except in case of extreme emergency.

I still have my now 10 year old Yuasa if you want it.  I just changed it out because it was so old.  Still holds a charge.
