If your valk is not running right,backfiring through the exhaust, and you've cleaned and synchd the carbs, check your ICM Ignition control module.

there is really no way to test it, but borrow one from a friend (it' located under the seat) and put it on yours. if it starts up and runs good, you can order one from Honda Direct for $175.
